In the 1990s Regis Nursery and Primary School began as a one-class literacy programme started by a seminarian Emmanuel Allahmagani with Mr. Nicholas Allamagani teaching because there was no school in the village. It closed after a few months due to lack of funds.

The community revived the class with teacher Mre. Tanimu Ibrahim using the verandah of his house. They wanted a formal school but lacked funds and teachers.The community leaders appealed to RUDAP, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), which built six classrooms and three pit toilets. The community contributed land, sand, and gravel. The school struggled - children could not read, write, or speak in English Language due to poor management and unqualified teachers.

To get quality education for their children and wards, the community asked the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena to take ownership of the school. Under the tenure of Sr. Faustina Jimoh, OP, Sr. Nancy Gregory and Sr. Patience Oledinma were assigned to the school in September 2013 while Sr. Majella Dogonyaro is the current Coordinator of the school.

The school has produced 2 seminarians and many young men and women who are presently undertaking studies in professional courses in various universities.
