Dominican Sisters' Creation: Sewing Centre, Abuja

Dominican Sisters Creation Centre is a ministry dedicated to empowering young people and women through vocational training in sewing, embroidery, monogramming, Aso Oke weaving, and creative designs. The centre promotes self-reliance, dignity of labour, and creativity while providing quality services in garment production and embroidery works for churches, schools, and individuals. Through this ministry, many youths have acquired practical skills that enable them to earn a living and contribute positively to society. Recent highlights include the successful training of new apprentices, the production of liturgical vestments and customised embroidery designs and participation in community empowerment programmes. The centre continues to witness to the Dominican mission of preaching through service and empowerment of the less privileged.
